Why Don't We Train Teachers to Use New Flexible Classrooms?

Hear a lively Q&A session between Shaylyn Ekins, Principal of Golden Spike Elementary School, Brigham City, UT, and Patricia Cadigan, ALEP, M.Ed., Artcobell VP Learning Environments, about how the school is transforming learning environments to transform learning outcomes. In June of 2020, the Box Elder School District's Board of Education approved a vote to combine Foothill and Mountain View elementary schools into one new school. This school would be built on the site of the old Bunderson Elementary in Brigham City and would house students from both existing schools. Golden Spike Elementary was named in reference to the 17.6-karat golden spike used to complete of the first transcontinental railroad in 1869. The site where the Central Pacific Railroad from Sacramento and the Union Pacific Railroad from Omaha met is at Promontory Summit, located in Box Elder County.
